Getting Started

• Tutorials . This is perhaps the easiest introduction. The tutorials are under the examples menu, and the "Introduction" is the most basic.
  
  
• Quick Paste Examples are found under the Examples menu. If you"ve got a blank worksheet in front of you then selecting this from the menu will paste an example right into your worksheet. There"s a handful of functions listed and they are all quite straightforward, but they show what the library is basically is about. Recommended.
  
  
• The Function Finder is a browser to view the entire Business Function Library. You can also open a spreadsheet example of each function here.
  
• The Examples section of the BF menu enables you to tap into the Worked Examples, on specific business themes, as well as the Component Examples (there are over 500, one for every single function). The Business Plan example is quite a good one. You can load up the spreadsheet from the menu and save it under a different name. The Project Budget is quite general purpose too.
  
  
• Help. Have a look through this Help file, particularly at topics like Using The Help File, Top Dozen Functions and Introduction To the Worked Examples.
  
  
• Once you get proficient, the Function Selector is the fastest way of accessing and browsing for functions. Its also the fastest way to load up a spreadsheet example of each function. Each example is a self-contained spreadsheet so you don"t make any changes to your existing worksheet.
  
  
• On the web the is a Sample Models (or sometimes called Templates) page that has further examples.
